Barbecue Popcorn

Mmmkay, let me tell you about this addictive substance! Barbecue Popcorn is so fun, so EASY and super-tasty. It travels really well to any kind of outdoor/tailgate/potluck situation you may have, and definitely a step up from just salt and butter. I’m smitten with it, (as in I catch myself standing over the bowl) and I’m sure you’ll love it too!

You will need…

  • 3/4 cup popcorn

  • 4 1/2 TBS popping oil

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • 1 TBS sugar

  • 1 tsp kosher salt

  • 1 tsp garlic salt

  • 6 TBS melted butter

  • 1 TBS Worcestershire sauce

Pop 3/4 cup popcorn (I used a mixture of yellow and white popcorn) on the stovetop with the oil.

Melt 6 TBS of butter in a small saucepan.

In a separate, small bowl, mix together paprika, sugar, chili powder, kosher salt, and garlic salt.

When melted, add 1 TBS of Worcestershire to the butter and stir to combine.

Pour melted butter and Worcestershire and toss over the popcorn to combine. Sprinkle on the spice mixture, constantly tossing. You may choose to use it all, you may not! Sprinkle, then toss, sprinkle then toss! Now you’ve completely upgraded basic popcorn! I quite enjoy breaking this recipe out during planting and harvest. Cheers, loves!
