Liesl’s Sweet Sleepover!

Current mood:

We filmed a really fun episode today, featuring Liesl’s sweet little friends and a supercute, super delicious handheld menu! Recipes are coming! But for now, here’s a little preview of the Chili Pockets…

Ultimate Sleepover Platter…

Everything Fries….

And THIS little treasure is FOUR! *sobsobsobsob*

We had a whirlwind weekend last week with parties, dance recitals, family, and I had SO MUCH FUN with Cal’s “Titanic” Theme.

Come to think of it, the snobby villain character in the movie was named Cal, wasn’t he??? This literally just dawned on me.

Well, it’s obviously fate that Cal loves reading about the Titanic and that he agreed to this party theme, hahaha!

And in the meantime I’ve been reading two fantastic parenting books, and this one is actually helping me in my interactions with my children.

I have really been struggling with my patience lately, and I feel like I can’t control my outbursts of frustration and annoyance at times. It’s bothering me quite a bit because I am starting to see my children model my behavior, and there’s nothing like those little mirrors for a reality check! And sometimes I feel like I’m not even seeing my children, I’m just looking through them to the next thing I need to do or accomplish. But Pitching a Fit has been helping in the past few weeks! I was able to hear the author speak at a conference in the spring, and he was so impressive! I’m looking forward to sharing more about it with you. Are there any parenting books that have helped you overcome your struggles with your children? I’d love to hear about them!

Xx
