White Hot Chocolate

I love the sophistication that the cinnamon and cloves bring to this white-hot-chocolate. This almost has a bit of a chai feel to it! The spices balance out the sweetness of the white chocolate so it’s practically perfect in every way 😉

You will need:

2 1/2 cup whole or 2% milk

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup white chocolate chips or good-quality chopped white chocolate

4-5 cloves

1 cinnamon stick

Whip cream, additional white chocolate shavings, ground cinnamon, additional cinnamon sticks for garnish

Simmer the milk and cream in a medium saucepan. Add in cloves and cinnamon and continue to simmer until milk is boiling around the edges of the saucepan. Pour in white chocolate chunks and stir until they are completely dissolved. Enjoy your house smelling like Christmas! Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Strain mixture into a large measuring cup to remove the cloves and cinnamon stick, or simply remove with tongs.

Pour into cups and top with whipped cream, white chocolate shavings, ground cinnamon and another cinnamon stick if desired! Yields two servings. Serve immediately.
